I thought this was a "call out" thread, not a
"Make up excuses for losing before the game even starts, that way if we win it will mean we totally kick ass" thread
Having said that,
Hey Boroth, you better find yourself a good hiding place, cuz if I see you, I'm coming for you

Blah Blah Math Blah Blah.....
Nothing but a bunch of whiners around here.
I declare that I'll burn someone down dos ex-inferus style. Kicking and screaming, it's off to a burning hot ring of fire for you. I care not for my losses, only that in the end the banner of the Imperium flows above the cursed earth that you defile.
No math, no stupid algae based technology, no scavenge, no scratch building, no fourty two superheavy class vehicles and walkers, and no amount of drinks you try to pour into me will save you.
Know this: If you're on the real estate where I launch my orbital attack, you'll be shoveling models. I've come to burn you out, and burn you out I will. Period, end of story, Bam Lord of the Pit!
Chew on that awhile.

Strong words from the blue team, I certainly hope that the rest of you are filled with such vigor. It would be a darn shame if somehow, the game didn't work out like that, and the orks end up giving you guys the loss.
A.J. better be bringing it all if he wants me. Just one little mistake and Zaz is going to be having some great fun pounding his wittle umie ass inta da ground!

Oh puh-lease.
From what I understand, you guys are going to pretty much match us on points.
You get your Orky special rules from temples and factories and pulsa rokkits and blah blah blah.
You get the last turn in a "grab the objectives" game.
You set up in all the available cover.
We get no cover.
You start on all the objectives.
What is this??? The hockey gold medal game all over again? Canada tried to pretend that THEY were the underdog in that game too. They only had the best team on home ice with the best chance to win.
Bragging rights??? What are you going to brag about? That two Ork players created a game in which they defended all the objectives from an equal sized force?
Ohhhh.... yeah...... nice work.

All I wanna know is which 3 Imperial players it's going to take to match my army and Kill Dakka Dakka WizGrot....as it will take nothing less.
So it says in the book of Wizgrot
"for on that day, fire will rain down from the skies....and he who is wigrot will unleash his mighty Mongo Umbrella ...
(refrain)
because he is so damnz Kunnin'!
Wolves will whine and cry and their snaggly teeth fall out from the mange, For He who is Wizgrot polluted thier BattleBarge's water supply....
(Refrain)
All praise the astrogrots and Wigrot, Because he is so damnz Kunnin!
Checkerboard Marines will fall from the skies, For He who is Wizgrot planted a Banana in their thunderhawk's Tail pipe.
(Refrain)
Orkses is sneakylike!
(refrain)
Waaagh...."

I only consider two of the items above to have ANY true merit to them, though one of those two might well be what makes us win.
But our disadvantages are sizable. For anyone who doesn't think so, I would invite them to play all games with me from now on with the basis that they will set up first and move last for all future games. there's other bits Eth doesn't even hit on.
Regardless, I really think this is going to be a lopsided game. But for who I don't know yet. I think we'll get a hint of it in the top of turn 1 and start knowing by turn 3.
So it says in the book of Wizgrot....

Provided it is a "grab the objectives" game in which all the cover is on my side of the table, and all the objectives are placed there as well... you're on!

Cover doesn't mean shit(you think it would, but it really doesn't), but I kinda of agree with your secondary point.
But I do except your agreement. Any games you and I play from now on, I get first turn after watching you deploy. I'm holding you to it.

Don't get me wrong. I can totally see your point about getting to set up last and go first. In a 2000 point game, I don't think this grants an advantage that out-weighs the advantage the other guy gets in starting on all the objectives with all the available cover.
In a 150,000 point game, the set-up last and go first advantage carries MUCH more weight.
But so does everything else.
I agree that this will most likely be lop-sided for one side or the other. But we've been saying that since the beginning, right?
And in spite of all the "The Sky is Falling!" stuff both sides might be feeling right now.... I think we all also know that this feeling is typical right before a Big Game. We should also know that once we are all together in the same room getting ready for what might be the biggest festival of dice and drinking that most of the "woe is us" talk will subside..... until turn 4 or 5 anyway. haha.

I have watched a lot of people on the Ork side say how the Imperials shouldn't be worried or are whining when valid points about special rules and points disparity are brought up for simple discussion. If at the end of the game, the Imperials were wrong and evrything is fair, great. If not Dale should have two buy eveyone's drinks for the rest of the night.

That might end up happening anyway.
This is the funnest thread ever. I'm really happy about how the site is influencing the big game with reguards to fluff and other nonsense. But, I digress........................
