Well here are the first two that I finished. While not the award winning quality I wanted, still good enough to be on the table. Anyway, thought I should show the new bases as well.

Sorry the lighting isn't great as I don't have a desk lamp (yet) and yeah, getting too close may show some of the lower quality in certain areas.

excellent work man! Your bases definitely complete the models.

The painting isn't as tough as I expected though the tiny details are a bitch. The wolf teeth on the fist and shoulder pad did not come out as good as I wanted so hopefully I will get better with that. From a distance they look awesome, its just if someone decides they want a close up look, well thats where they start to lose some of the appeal. I am more than satisfied with the bases and they really make the models look good. I wish I was better at battle damage, weathering and such and my attempts were pathetic so I just stuck with a clean look. The most they have is the depth in the recesses and some wash over the metallics but thats it. I am happy with the codex grey color scheme as well. I have fortress grey for highlights but again am not very good at pulling that off so I held off for now. Considering it takes me 6-7 hours to paint one guy (yeah im slow) I figured the hell with it, they look good enough for tabletop and thats all that matters at this point. I realize that trying new things and taking risks is what advances skill but after the few attempts I have made I am not willing to ruin the whole army by doing so. Instead I have reserved my black reach models as test subjects for future projects and methods (weathering, shading, etc). I do say that the pics do no justice at all, seeing them in person they look much better than the pics lead you on to believe.
Either way, I can't wait to have a fully painted army!
