As most of you know, I'm starting to get into modeling and painting seriously and have in the past month and a half, purchased a lot of junk concerning this new found obsession.  Not just to get models out there on the board mind you, but to put real quality as well.

Blah, Blah, Blah.  I know, I'm rambling again.  This is the first endevor of my 'newer' modeling and painting ideals.  First, a shot of the ripped down chaos vindicator, that this wagon is starting from....

Since this is going to have a boomgun, rocket and big shoota, I figured that I should get those positioned first.  First the boomgun....

Of course, I was running out of room for the big shoota, so I used some of my newer pegasus stuff and fashoned myself a platform..

So anyway, that's where I am so far.  I'm planning on converting up the havoc launcher for my ork rokkit launcher, but that will have to wait for another time.  I'm also planning on doing some plasticard converting on this one for glyphs and more plates on this thing.  Of course, I'm going to be using some of the new airbrush techniques too.  That's why I'm actually mocking this up before gluing and other such nonsense.

It seems to still be missing something however.......  I'm completely open to suggestions, comments, and all other forms of rederick, so let it rip boys.:)

Nice work!

One question... what is that white gunk you're using to stick things together with?

Looks like a different version of blue tac.

Yep,  its devcon's version of stik-tak, since devcon bought the company last year.  I actually think it is a better product by the way.  It doesn't dry out nearly as fast as the blue stuff did.

Thanks for the kind words wolfie.I've almost completely thrown out all of my other painting techniches I've learned so far in an attempt to discover 'new awesomeness'.  Christ, I even drew up some floor plans for this thing, and all of the other ork terrain pieces that I'm going to be making in the coming months.

We'll see how it goes.

So I'm going to call the conversion done, all of the grots and the back end are magenetized so they can be removed decently.

The rockets are some bits from CT's box that he gave me for the stompa factory, but I hope he doesn't mind that I used some of it on other projects.;)

I like it very much. It's a shame that I really LOVE the rear Big shoota, but find it to be nearly valueless gamewise.(how god are you at begging the opponent to Kill the rear firing weapon in place of the ordnance chucker?).

Wasn't sure where you were going with the havocs...but I really like what you did with them.

Very nice though!

I was just thinking the same thing!  The Big Shoota platform on the back ROCKS!

BUT.... during game-play it will be pretty much useless.  Although, I suppose it the ordnance cannon gets knocked out, you could play the tank just franticly moves side to side or toward the rear lines for fear of taking another possibly killing blow - which would allow the Big Shoota some targets to fire at. ;)

He'd more likely go to the Rokkit launcha next, as he's not very likely to want to show his weakest armor (rear) just to take some bad shots with a poorly aimed machine gun.

Personally, I would just make it cosmetic and not point it out...
