+++Inquisitorial Communiqué 14264.7643+++
+++Security Level Omega+++
+++Date Stamp 965.M41+++
I’ve dispatched a small team led by Interrogator Lorne to the surface of Dalthus. Their mission is to dispatch a small band of mutants that had been raiding a mining town called Corpus.
I wish that I did not have to send them on this mission for it distracts me from my primary task but the Lady Thallexia Valornum has requested assistance and my ship is the closest Imperial vessel. Since my duty to the God-Emperor as Inquisitor is first and foremost to serve mankind and protect the ignorant from the forces of Chaos as member of the Holy Ordo Malleus, I must respond.
The team dispatched should be able to handle the threat. Interrogator Lorne has served me for neigh on sixty years and is quite competent. He leads an acolyte of mine, assassin Leandra Apothecary and a psyker named Varnius Traylor who is on loan from another Inquisitor. There is also a bounty hunter whom I’ve contacted and will accompany them. This bounty hunter is an excellent addition if what I’ve been told is true and if he works out I may hire him for future missions.
Medea Hothrac will pilot them down to the surface on board the Swift Wind, a heavily converted shuttle of mine which the Rogue Trader Helius Farnor was kind enough to give me.
When they return I shall send a debriefing.
Raxxus.

Sweeeeeet!
If this is going to be an on-going thing (and it should be) then there should be a new space created for it.
Hey Mods! Please create a Dark Heresy area for us.
Failing that, Boroth, you might wanna use the Ordos of the Inquisition area. Nobody seems to use that much anyway.
But a Dark Heresy place would be nice.
By the way, I know I said it before, but that DH game at Gen Con was awesome!

This will be an ongoing thing. I sent a message to HDEagle about starting a new section for it.

The mutant threat on Dalthus has apparently been neutralized for now.
Interrogator Lorne and party has returned unfortunately a little worse for wear. Leandra was grievously wounded and will have to spend several months in the infirmary on board my vessel to recuperate. This is not something I take lightly and Lorne will be disciplined accordingly. I sent him with them to ensure something like this would not happen.
Aside from that the party performed well and much was learned.
After landing outside of detection range of the town of Corpus, Lorne led the party disguised as Imperial pilgrims into town on foot. Lorne proceeded to talk to the local Arbites about the mutant attacks the rest of the party secured rooms in a local Inn.
Varnius Traylor went to the Ore Refinery to investigate an attack that happened the night before they arrived in town. The bounty hunter inquired at local pub about the attacks. Leandra interrogated the Inn keeper.
The information gathered proved quite useful. Lorne was able to secure the use of four local PDF troopers. Varnius found out that the attack at the Ore Refinery was a simple act of vandalism and theft by the mutants. They only stole unremarkable tools and wrote on the walls. The bounty hunter found out that they primarily attack during the day and that they numbered around twenty or so. Leandra was able to determine that they came from the forest to the North of town and that they were usually just vandals and thieves, stealing whatever they could with no rhyme or reason.
With the information gathered the party set out that night to investigate because apparently the mutants were deemed to have no special night senses. The recon mission proved most useful. After dispatching two mutant guards leading to the village, the party was able to then determine the size of the village and strength of the mutants.
Returning several hours later with the four PDF troopers, Lorne and party were able to dispatch the mutants and bring back valuable information about who these mutants were.
The information gleaned will be a surprise to some and will be a new mystery that must be unraveled. The mutants were originally members of House Crenalius, which was the primary ruling house of Dalthus two years prior. Another document acquired had a symbol that sends chills through my spine and beggers the question, Why are they involved and how? The document in question is written in a language I will not repeat in this communiqué but contains the symbol of a most feared and ancient foe of the Imperium; the Alpha Legion.
Why is this secretive Legion involved, and what are their motives? Did they help House Crenalius? Are they still present on Dalthus? These questions will need to be answered. More investigative work will need to be done.
I will transmit my findings in good time.
Raxxus.

OMG!
I'm sorry, but I have to interrupt just for a second because you see... when I suggested that a new Dark Heresy area be created I thought about requesting that the sub-title include some sort of spelling or gramatical error so as to keep it in line with the rest of the Forum.
And I SWEAR i was going to suggest using "roll playing" in place of "role playing".
That is so awesome that I didn't even have to say it, and *poof!* it happened anyway!

...and the fact that it is "roll paying" is even sweeter!
okay. sorry. back to the action!
