This just in.  I've been in contact with the Reservations Supervisor at the Omni Hotel trying to get double queen bed rooms rather than the single Kings we reserved.  That ain't gonna happen.  However, he did tell me that the connecting King rooms (which Dacio and I requested) are smaller rooms and that we could be placed in larger rooms right next to each other if we wanted.

I told him to go ahead and place us in the larger rooms next door to each other.

Hope that is cool with everybody.  I can probably change it if you let me know ASAP.

Rooms are listed at $155 a night, but current Indy hotel tax is <gulp!> Fifteen Percent! :(  So plan on around $180 a night.

Now that I don't live anywhere near you guys, I'd like to have the hotel payments squared away as soon as the convention is over.

Gen Con is nearly here!!!  Yee-Haw!!! :D

sounds good to me as many as we can cram in there to save on the hotel the better.

Oh by the way you say 180 a night is that total or per person?

180 is per room per night.

As far as per person per night goes... i'm not sure how to handle that.  I think it might be best if we tallied up the two rooms together, figured out a per person/per night cost for the two rooms combined and everybody just pays me and Dacio in equal amounts.  That way, we both pay the same no matter who is in what room, what night, at whatever time.  And we'll just sleep people in the most equal/space saving places possible.

I'm sure none of you ingrates remember that I picked up the tab at RAM last year. :P  Or how I ended up paying full price one night for a room by myself once.  Or that I let a couple people slide on their hotel payments for a few MONTHS last year.

I think I've been more than generous in the past, and I'd rather not have to deal with some harry-high-school, backstabby bullshit like paying for a room by myself while five people congregate in the room next door and split that room five ways.  If Kevin were staying all four nights it might be different, but I don't think he gets there until Friday.

It will take some math to figure out.... yuck! :P

And I'd want Dacio's input before actually settling on anything.

If we figure it at 180 per night/per room that's 360 per night for both rooms.

Wednesday it should be Me, Dacio, Jay, Leslie, Jeppy, and Mystery Man(?).  that would make six.  Making the per person rate $60 on Wed. night.  Each room would also have three people.

Thursday should be the same.  Another $60 per person.  Unless Kevin comes Thursday (which would be sweet), and then it'd be cheaper at around $52.

Friday should have seven of us (provided Dacio's Mystery Man is actually coming).  Which should be like $52 per person.  Same thing Saturday.

So if that's how we decide to break it down.  Then each person could plan on owing a total of $225 for hotel from Wed. thru Sat. nights (60+60+52+52+1 dollar so Steve and I can each get a cookie).

If Mystery Man doesn't show up, then it might get to $260, which still isn't too bad for four nights at the Omni.

If we want to break it down by how many people are in each room at any given time, then I guess it becomes Survivor Island and we have to duke it out to see who goes into the Expensive Room and who gets voted into El Cheap-o Casa.

I of course dont have mine yet, i have never bought it ahead of time cuz im a lazy bum

Thursday morn i plan to be in line at 8am.

anywho, that seems like more than i remember it being in the past, but we'll make it work somehow.

Me and Les will definately have enough to cover the hotel with us so dont worry, we just dont plan on spending much money on anything else, honestly.

It might be slightly more, but I think it's around the same price it's always been for two rooms.  Remember that last year we had one big room, didn't we???  Plus, it was at the Radisson, which is cheaper.  Our planning got a little messed up this year.  We'll do better next year. ;)

Of course I have my badge!  It's waiting for me at the Con, just like every year! :D

I will not be able to bring models this year, however. :(  So maybe I can borrow someone's???
