You can have a perfectly rational conversation with another dork, about who would win in a fight;  Lt. Worf or Chewbacca?

I voted for Chewbacca, but I can see a case for Worf.

If the deathmatch were to actually take place inside Thunderdome (as the poll suggests), then you have to assume there would be weapons placed around the arena.  And Worf's extensive combat training with blades and other close combat weapons would seem to make him ten times more dangerous with a weapon in his hands.

However, if this is indeed Thunderdome, then whatever weapons are available are probably crap (a Chainsaw that doesn't start or a rusty ax that falls apart) and the match could very rapidly turn into a bare-knuckle-brawl, in which case Worf gets his ass kicked.

well chewy also knows weapons, so I still think that it would be a win for the big guy.

What weapons?  That laser-blaster-crossbow-thing?

No.  I don't think so.  Worf is a professional military man whose heritage is steeped in the warrior codes of the Klingon race.  His weapons training would far excede that of a wookie smuggler.

I still give the edge to Chewy in this particular fight though, because of the ramshackle state of whatever weapons might be available within Thunder Dome.

Then again... Mad Max overcame his brutish oppenent in the Dome using brains over brawn.  hmmmm.....  :?

Chewie would scrape the bark off his Klingon forehead and make soup out of it.

For your information sir, its called a "bowcaster".  Please familiarize yourself with the correct terminology before making hasty judgment calls.  Thank you.

No. I don't think so. Worf is a professional military man whose heritage is steeped in the warrior codes of the Klingon race. His weapons training would far excede that of a wookie smuggler.
I have analyzed your assessment and have discarded it.  Please come back with one that is worthy of discussion.

As a smuggler, Chewbacca would have to be forced to familiarize and utilize all sorts of weapons.  While his preferred weapon was the bowcaster, he also used other weapons, such as the BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle, commonly used by Imperial Stormtroopers.  Or, if no weapons were available he would just pull arms from sockets.

Like I said, my money is on the Wookie, but since the vote is going Worf's way, and none of those guys seem to want to offer up an opinion on it, I'm just playing Klingon's advocate. ;)

Screw it.  Let the Worf guys defend their man. :)

Hahaha. :) I'm not so sure.  I could totally see Chewbacca succumbing to a dog whistle.  ;)

And there you go.  If it's hand to hand, I'd say Chewy has the edge.  Withed bladed weapons, Worf wins hands down.

Don't forget that Chewbacca was captured by Teddy Bears using what was essentially a ham on a stick.

I gotta think Worf could outsmart him.

Fuck it.  I think I just convinced myself that Worf would win this thing.

Vote changed!

:P

You can't count that against him, there's a good chance that any of us on any given day might be captured by ham on a stick...
