Given that there's going to be lots of oppposite and side table edge entrances for inflatrating units now, how will the auspex work?
I can see it being a very valuable tool for heavy weapon units (like my retributor sisters) to just hose units of scouts, orks and bugs approaching from the rear.
I haven't checked the book yet, but I believe the rule give you a "free shot" against units inflitrating. 12 heavy bolter and bolter dice could do a number on such units. there's nothing about it in the FAQ that went up today
I'm assuming it won't be wargear for marines anymore (its not for da) but what about guard and sisters, both aways off in the new codex department?

| I know they get it for deep striking (or summoning) but if it also says infitrators you are right it will have a lot more usefulness than before.

an interesting question and I wish I have my marine codex handy to see phrasing for the auspex. (to see if it includes phrases like "at the start of game" and such.)
There is a caveat in that models with the infiltrate USR may perform an outflanking movement action, I don't know if that makes them count as truly infiltrating for purposes like these.
Great question tho.
Do we care to compile a list of current codices in existance which utilize rule regarding countering infiltrators? I know of this one and the SW psyber raven off the top of my head.

| you would only get the free shot at infiltrators if they START the game within 4D6". the rule, on p. 23 of the space marine codex, states..."these shots are taken BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS." it also says "If enemy models with the Infiltrate special rule SET UP within 4D6"...that would not apply to units that enter after turn 1.
