"...And the Lasguns red glare! The Demo packs bursting mid-air!..."
While I would very much like to see what my crappy little town puts on for the fourth of July, I would also like to finish off this blasphemous Kalkovacian rebellion.
The 4th is on a Friday. What say E-Company gets together at Peter's place for a nice big game all day/night Saturday???
I'm envisioning the Templars and Wolves together assaulting the last bastion of the rebellion. If the rebels hold, the resources of the Adeptus Astartes would best be used elsewhere. If the red-coats... err... I mean... Space Marines win, Kalkovac continues to produce boots and bodies for the service of the Emperor. Glory be thy name.

E-Company is ripping it up.
I'm going to see if I can come out on a weekend in the late fall.
All E-company has to do is that I get on the plane so i can get home on sunday.

I've got a spare bedroom waiting for you Jake, if you need it.

I am fully open to a Fourth of July weekend of the Kalkovac campaign here, floor game(s), I'll make food.
Come one, come all!
Bring it to Kalkovac, imperials! Reinforcements for the beleagured Army of Liberation in Kalkovak are welcome; and anyone playing Chaos Space Marines, Lost and Damned (old chaos codex in play), Traitor, Renegades, or Genestealer Cult is okay by me.
One thing though- the final chapter of the Kalkovac liberation will not be in contention, as the campaign will continue throughout the summer. . . including GenCon. Details to follow.
Let's make it happen, gentlemen.

Ooooh! Cool!
We gotta get Jeppy on board with this.
I propose the following:
Forces gather Friday evening. Dinner, drinks and smoking at SugarMom's (my fave Philly bar) http://www.yelp.com/biz/sugarmoms-philadelphia
Crash.
Saturday. Gather the day's rations. Assemble troops. Engage the enemy. Take no prisoners. Maybe get two good sized games in??? Passout amid several empty bottles and cigarette butts.
Sunday. Find our way home.
Alternatively, I'd be up for arriving Saturday, gaming, then hitting SugarMom's that night. Or some other variation of the previously detailed events.

Jeppy will already be down here, he's got tickets for the Phillies/Mets series. Not sure which day-? I assume it's the 4th.
Jeppy, what kind of seats did you get? Can we get more?
Also: don't forget this is Philadelphia, so evidently they go all out for their July 4th fireworks. That will be fun too.
Great. Awesome.
Death to the imperials.
Anyone else want to get in on this? Plenty of floor space, we'll just up the points and add more terrain.

I'm for sure coming. I'll have to get back to you guys on what day the tickets are for...I'm at a computer cafe and don't have the tickets/my calendar with me. I'm pumped! Very slight chance I might even have my Mordians...I'll get back to you. As for D-Company, I've got a guest/gaming room for anyone who wants to join the Queens Battlefleet sector of E-Company sometime. If the Major doesn't mind and the Wolf Man can get off of work, I'd be up for starting this thing on Thursday...I think I might even have that marked in my calendar. What do you guys think?

| Based on my experience with NYC, Philly, and Frederick, I'll bring the booze, Major - you provide the smokes, and Wolf Man - you bring the bitches!

Sorry. The earliest I could get there would be Friday.
However, if you guys have tickets for the baseball game on the fourth, then maybe I could just meet up with you guys after the game at around 11:30pm or so on Friday?
It all depends on the tickets I suppose.
I would like to hammer out a schedule soon if possible. Maybe that could be what separates E-Company from D-Company.... We can actually have a plan for shit.

My door is open. If Jeppy gets here the night of the 3rd, we'll throw down a game and see if the northern sector can stabilize itself for the Imperials, who currently are getting smashed up by the rebels at their landing zones.
The evening of the third is the earliest for me, I have guests until that day. Early/mid- morning 4th is even better.
Jeppy- bring your Mordians, beeeee-yotch. Guard-on-Guard is where the whole 40k system really begins to make sense.
Ohmygod,ohmygod,ohmygod. . . massive floor game. . .
Anyone else reading this forum and on the east coast 4th of July weekend is welcome to PM me and jump right in, I will be happy to host you. If you want to play renegades I'll even provide you with an army, although you should have some idea of how to play. . .

Major,
I'll come in on the afternoon of Friday the 4th, if that works best for you. The game tickets are for Saturday, July 5th at 7PM. Maybe we can pick a spare for Wolf Man and just move to a section where there is room for the three of us.

Right, so... I'm thinking a medium sized game saturday daytime starting 11am ending 5pm, then baseball. Sunday wake up and play another game from noon 'till 5pm.
OR...
play a rockin', drunkin', late-night, massive game Friday night from 7pm 'till the gnarlaks come home. Then saturday get up and put ourselves back together for a few hours before I go home and you guys do the baseball thing or we all do the baseball thing together.
Whichever is good with me.

| I'm thinking a huge game Friday night until the sun comes up. Get up for the baseball game Saturday night (Wolf Man you've got to come too), then maybe even a small game...500-750 points, something unusual for Sunday morning.

It's up to Major. I know he said he's got guests in town until Friday evening.
A BIG friday night game is fine by me. Otherwise we should shoot for a saturday morning start to something.
Jeppy, post the details on your tix and I'll see if i can get something close by.

Big game, yes. Friday, yes. More games all weekend, yes yes yes. What a great July 4th!
Let's decide on the points and I'll start coming up with a scenario.
We need maps! What the hell kind of campaign doesn't have maps?
I'm slacking.

Great! Sooo... Big Game Friday. Depending on Start Time, I'm thinking 5k per side in points. A major battle where both the Wolves and Templars (or Mordians?) finally meetup to engage the rebellious forces of Kalkovac.
I'd like to get in one more small game before you guys have Baseball. Then I think I'll head home.
I'm heading to Milwaukee this coming weekend. Then there's a long July 4 weekend. And then I'm flying off to Milwaukee again. As much as I'd like to see the stadium in Philly, I really have no interest in the Phillies or the Mets, and I should really stop the hemorraging of money that will be taking place over the course of the next three weeks...
... because after all that, there is still Historicon and...
...GEN CON!!!

5,000 points per side for the Friday night extravaganza sounds great. If that's what we're going with, Wolf Man contact me so we can come up with a strategy/plan to crush the Major. A small game Saturday before the baseball game sounds good too. Too bad you won't make the ball game, we'll miss you. Major, you're the host and you should decide the scenero and start the background, but I'll add to it once you lay the groundwork.

Jeppy and I both agree we need to step it up in the Fluff department. I agree that if you give us the next setting, we can provide the fluff for our respective forces.

The flaps of the tent were pulled back and a giant of a man strode into the carpeted central floor. Adorned in animal skins, fur, and leather the towering figure seemed to have nearly nothing in common with the four Imperial Scribes seated at the table before him. Their pale skin, identical black robes and cybernetically enhanced bodies made for a stark contrast to the brutish figure standing in front of them. This man seemed a beast in their presence and indeed his long matted hair and large, pronounced fangs hinted that he may be more animal than man.
The mouths of the sinister looking scribes had all been replaced with vox units that resembled iron grates through which monotone and metallic sounding voices would emminate.
“Wolf Lord Brawn Coldblood, please have a seat.” A pale and boney hand emerged from one of the dark robes and pointed to a chair seated in front of the dark clothed figures.
The hulking man strode confidently to the table and rather than sit, he slapped both hands, palms down, firmly onto the table.
“The insurgency at the abandoned asylum has been eliminated” snarled Brawn as he peered into the soulless eyes of the Scribes. “The enemy numbered many more than we were originally led to believe. Several of my Wolf Brothers gave their lives dearly for the Emperor’s cause, and yet… there were no signs of Chaos affliction in the enemy, only minor mutations and various symbols of unknown design.” Leaning over the table and baring his large fangs, Brawn said in a low, guttural tone, “Where is Inquisitor Gallus?”
“Inquisitor Gallus is currently recovering information vital to our success here on Kalkovac”, noted one of the Scribes in a cold and scraping artificial voice.
The mighty Wolf Lord rose to stand once again and folded his arms. “The Great Wolf suspects that our true purpose here is being shrouded in deceit. I certainly hope that the good inquisitor is not the one keeping things from us. A sure way to lose one’s hand is to tug on the tail of a wolf.”
A mechanical voice responded, “If you do not wish to do the Will of the Emperor, you may be reassigned.”
Brawn’s eyes grew large as his lips snarled before issuing a deafening roar. Two large fists came crashing down upon the table in front of the cloaked Scribes destroying it in a thunderous burst of wood and splinters. The Scribes were sent flailing backwards and began clamoring to evade the huge Space Marine as he stepped forward kicking aside pieces of the broken table, one large finger pointing at them accusingly.
“NO ONE can question my service and loyalty to the Emperor! My deeds and the deeds of my men are written in BLOOD all across the galaxy!”
The Imperial Scribes huddled in the back of the large tent as the mighty Wolf Lord loomed over them shouting, “My Wolf Brothers and I give our lives freely to His unending wisdom and grace! We are the tools with which He uses to build and keep safe the mighty Empire of Mankind! And we do NOT wish for His Glorious Light to be filtered through your cold and darkened souls!”
Wolf Lord Brawn Coldblood then relaxed slightly and stepped away from the cowering Scribes. Sternly he walked towards the tent’s entrance and as he threw open one of the heavy cloth flaps to leave, he spoke over his shoulder towards the disheveled Scribes saying, “You may send our orders to my tent for review. And tell Inquisitor Gallus that I require an audience with him at his earliest convenience.” Then he slipped through the doorway and into the camp leaving the Scribes in silence.

The visibly stunned Scribes attempted to regain their composure on shaky and unsure limbs. As one of the cloaked Scribes helped a comrade to his feet his scraping, metallic voice issued forth,
"Has he seen the data slates showing the local scholasticas have replaced Driver's Ed. with Embracing Chaos 101???"
A high pitched whistling of air passing through the iron grating of another Scribe's vox unit denoted his heavy breathing as he attempted to prop himself up on the seat of his chair.
His belabored robotic voice weakly emitted, "I know, right??? It's like... gol... fer sure."
