Ok, it looks like we are all ready for Rock-con and there is no turning back now, so I thought I would get this up and going.

Dale-con 09' will be on Nov 21-22 at my house in the basement.  I had originally planned on making this part of the ork Waagh that I started in April, but have since recinded it, because others are planning large orky events in the future, and Dale-con has always been about lots of 1 on 1 games, good food and drink, and a place to have a lot of fun on a cold weekend.  So, that's what's going to happen.

Start time is at 10:00 a.m. on Sat and will end sometime on Sun.  There will be at least 6 4'x6' tables set up with terrain at the start.  Of course, if people want to get a bigger game going, that's alright too.  The Dethdrag race track will be set up also, for anyone that wants to do a few races during the day.  We will also allow other gamesets to be played if people want to do them (Dark heresy, Necromunda, FOW, Battletech, etc., etc.).

Food will be provided and prepared by yours truly and my wife (Kurt, the buffalo dip is going to be made in massive proportions and there are going to be some newer samplings of delicousness for you to sample;)), and SOME drink will be on hand for the taking.  You should probably bring something to drink that you like.  Breakfast will also be served on Sun morning for all.

For those planning on staying the night, there will be blankets and pillows.  You should probably bring something along for yourself and be prepared to sleep on the floor if last years event was anything to go by, and I'm expecting this years to be even larger.:)

For all of you that I've never met before that want to get in on this event, please PM me of your intentions and we can meet before hand (or at least talk on the phone).  I would like to see some new members at my house, but since some of you I don't know that well, this will make my wife happy.

Alrighty then.......  That's about it.  If there is any ?'s, just post them, PM me, or call, or whatever.  Let the smack talk begin!:D

I'll have to take a rain check on the dip; that's the gun deer opening weekend.

I'd love to see a "pro-bowl" game of walls. Four players, 5 pennies, 1500 points each.

Breakfast will also be served on Sun morning for all.

I'll try not to puke in the sausages pan.

Last years' event had folks sleeping while face-down in the corner. It would be cool to have someone bring a pop-up camper we could set up in the driveway. Or backyard. ;)

Let the smack talk begin!:D

I hereby challenge all the '2nd generation' ork players. All of us will gather for a Battle at the Big Camp scenario.

TITAN BATTLE (Dale-con event)

1500 pts max. up to 6 players( or 2 teams of 3), from 1 current codex.

Compulsory choices for force org:  1 superheavy or titan!

Remaining points will be dispersed in this fashion:  1 HQ and 1 heavy slot, or on another superheavy or titan from the same army or codex.

Optional  1 HQ, 6 troops, 3 elites, 2 heavy choices

No apoc formations allowed

We will be playing for a single objective, placed in the middle of the board.

This is the big one people, the one you have all been waiting for.  A nice quick and brutal game utilizing superheavies and titans as the main force in the army.  We will be playing on a 4X6 board, (if enough people want to get in on this), with sparce terrain and a lot of deadlyness coming to the fight.  This is not a game for the faint-hearted, so make sure you put your feelings in the closet.  Make no mistake, people are going to get screwed in this one.  This is a chance to use your big stuff alone and hone your skills with them.  We will run at least 1 game of this magnetude, depending on interest, and maybe more if a lot of people want to fight it out.

Questions will be answered in PM form.

Well the basement is pretty much a go at this point, just a little more reorganizing and it will be completely ready.:)

There will be 6  4x6 tables with terrain set up and the drag race at the start of the event.  I am totally open to switching things around later on for those who wish to do some other types of things.  That's 12 people playing 1 on 1 games, and 5 people racing all at one time!  17 peeps can all be throwin it down at once.  This is some crazy stuff man, crazy stuff!:D  There is also plenty of room for staging stuff (if you can you should bring some kind of tray with you for moving tons of figs at once), and there will be at least 2 chairs per table for sittin on your asses.;)  I have the ability to get at least one more table up, if we don't want to race, and have enough terrain to fill it.  As soon as I get my wife's final menu for the weekend, I'll post it up for ya all to drool over.

Can't wait, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Looks like I'll be taking a badger bus into town for this one.  I would love to see someone bring "Walls" for a "Walls game."  Even if they are 10 soda boxes or whatever.

I think if every ork player gets in on Da Battle at Da Big Camp we will all only need about 500 points!  We'll figure it out there.
