i think playing 3rd ed Wolves against 5th ed Chaos/Daemons is going to be a freakin' major beat down.  bringing a sword to gun fight kind of thing...

that being said, since i DID find my wolf codex, i am still good to go if the wolf brother and you are.  last stand and all that crazy ass shit.  i live for this!:D

Due to the possibility of a scheduling variance of a social nature, I must change my participation from "definitely" to "maybe".  I'll know for sure in a day or two.

Friday July 3rd (not the 2nd, my mistake)

Meet at 7:30 at the Downtown Hilton

I've always stayed true to my beloved Wolves, no matter how many shiny new Space Marines Codexes come along.

I have no problem taking my Wolves up against any foe.  Just ask around if you have doubts.  ;)

Now we just need to set some teams. :)

*edit -  Oh, and I'm probably down for a game on the 27th, Dacio.  I think I'll be staying at Mark's house that day.  Maybe we could play in your basement???

clarity required...;)

having played wolves for several years before switching to my own chapter, i am with you both that space wolves rock in a major way.  it is probably my distraction from the true faith that has caused my comments.

i am ready to rumble with how ever many points of toothy space marines are required.

what?  no pods? :P:P:P

Well, that's the hard part.  Bro Silas and Bro Tib are both Imperial players (for the most part).

Maybe Professor Chaos will join in the fray.  Otherwise, who knows?  I think Boroth might get off on controlling 10,000 points of IW versus 5 marine players.  hahahha. ;)

If we're going to have 3 or more people per side, we should probably tone the points value per player down to 2,000.

Also... How are we for terrain?  Does somebody have a large piece of felt to lay down?  If we just get felt and some ruins, I'd be totally happy.  More than that would be icing on the cake.

I think depending on the size of the game, like how many points each of you guys are bringing, we could add in my titan and i know Stormcaller has a titan too to even it up it might be fun doing that.

Stormcaller, you got a baneblade too?  If you bring that i'll bring the malcador.

I'm fine with super heavies.  I don't own any, and I'm fairly good at blowing them up.  ;)   So bring your titans, baneblades or what-have-you if you so desire.

Typical Force Org Chart.  Super heavies just count against your alloted points and don't take up a slot.

I would like to keep the game at or under 10,000 points per side.  No apoc. sheets or formations.  No strategems or other squirrelly business.  I'd really like to play and finish this game in the time allowed, rather than go off in typical D-Company fashion and bite off more than we can chew and stare drunkenly at a table full of minis at 4am and realize that we're all to drunk and tired to continue. :D

So far we have Bro Tib, Bro Silas (maybe, unless he's got that date or whatever going on), Lord Bran Redmaw, Stormcaller, and myself on the Wolves side.

...and Boroth on the Iron Warriors side.

Is that right?  lol.  :)  We really need at least one other person to be helping out Boroth.  What's up with Chaos not being able to answer the call to arms?  For Russ' sake!  I remember when you couldn't swing a dead cat around without hitting some D-Company player's Chaos army! :P

There is a SLIGHT possibility of a venue change for this game.

For now, the plan is the same.  Meet up at the Hilton and play in one of their conference rooms.

There a chance that we could play in a happier place however.  A place many of us have been trying to return to for a couple years now.  The birthplace of D-Company, in the basement of a true 40k fanatic.

If there's a change (and right now, it's doubtful) I'll post it here and make some calls ASAP.

carry on.  ;)
