Ethmongul has been on this forum for one year as of today.  In that time he's transformed and sparked life into the modeling and painting of the group and posted over 1,300 times!  Compare that to me and Wolfman, who joined FOUR years ago; I've got 1,500 or so and Wolfie still has over 2,000.

So happy forum birthday Ethmongul!

K.  The babble is going to get rediculous, you realize though.;)  I'll start it off........

I remember when ethmongul used to like space marines.  He painted an entire chapter up as the legion of the damned.  This was in second edition, you understand, so there still weren't any rules made up for them.  2000pt armies in second edition comprised a total of about 20 models and a lot of commanders, and librarians.  He was gaming a AGP on Beloit Rd. in those days, and played 45 games in a one year time period.  Loosing everyone of them to the no good cheating bastards that frequented those tables.

After that, he gave up 40k for almost 8yrs till 3rd edition was released.........

I remember the Legion of the Damned, but it was the Iron Maiden-esque "Children of the Damned!"

I knew that there would be some old skool shit that popped up, when I said something about my space marines!

romba_one is the only person in this group that played with me back then, and yes, he was working on the same ultramarines that he is fielding today.  The 'children of the damned' didn't show up until third edition and the deal that pendul and I made in the back room of brady hardware, after my step brother Cory, bought pendul some orks and the codex (third edition mind you, it had just come out), that if we were going to get back into 40k, then we were really going to get back into 40k hardcore, and never quit, no matter what.  Its still good even to this day, christ what am I saying, way more today than back then, I'm currently working on 30 square feet of ork terrain for a game that's going to be 130000 pts.  There is absolutely no fucking way that idea was in our heads way back then!  CRAZY!!!!!!!!!

Hey thanks man. I got a remote-controlled helicopter.

I'm the terror of the skies!

Last night I played pool with Twainm and Milkman until 5am. Awesome sauce, one of them might say.

So pendull and I made our pact and the gaming commenced.  The first few games we played were using the epic rules of move-move, shoot-shoot, and so on, because neither of us bothered to read the rules correctly.  There were 2 others that joined us in this (I won't mention them in depth because it truely isn't worth it:(), and my apartment above brady hardware became the focal point for our horrible endevors.  Irontusk came on the scene at that time period and we three created my original arts and farts.  That was when I went crazy with the bugs.  Irontusk had gone nuts over khorne, and pendull was doing his orky thing.

This nonsense went on for about 2-3 years, with my apartment growing increasingly in shambles.  There was a table set up all the time and garbage everywhere.  Games were happening at my place when I was sleeping and 2 people were playing till 2-3 a.m.!  Then, the big fight I had with one of the unmentioned 2 happened and the group splintered into the unmentionables and pendull, irontusk and I.  The alliance was breaking up and there was an unmistakable sense of doom on us for the future of little men.  I was attempting to try to date again (bad idea:X), which meant that the table was pulled and my apartment cleaned.  What would we three do?

Pendull and I came up with the solution almost immediately.  Nappy's was starting out the tuesday gamefest and we decided to show up every week and play some games.  At that point is when Boroth, Twaimn, Seti, Derling, HDeagle entered the picture.

The above may be a bit more prosaic, and famous but I suspect Dale's tale will be just as epic...
