| Some people have asked me to post our current semi official house rules some place they're easy to find. This is currently where I'm putting them. If anyone has a better location for them, please feel free to suggest it. Attachment: D-Company 40k Expanded Rules-Current.doc (Downloaded 24 times)

Haha!
In all honesty you may want to "stick it" in the 40k Rules Questions area. Or "shove it" in the Mega Battle area.
And while we're at it. How about just a "Mega Battle" forum instead of a 2008 Mega Battle, 2009 Mega Battle, and what will soon have to be another 2010 Mega Battle forum?
Could help stream-line things.
Just sayin'.

The reason I have left Mega Battles by year is the scenarios.
Some one might want to tweak our work for their owne.

Oh yeah... definitely keep the content - if possible. I wasn't saying to get rid of anything we already had. I was just hoping that they could somehow be combined into a single mega battle forum.

Yeah, I've been looking at the best ways to do that. the seperate Mega battle threads are cluttering IMO also.

If you ask me (which you didn't, but anyways), they should be archived and then removed from the site.
There could be a sticky link at the top of the Events Information that would point you towards the blogspot pictures site.
House rules need to be referenced every once in a while, or perhaps once a year minimum. Anything less than that could just be a file you could download somewhere or something.
I say delete them.

| I don't remember asking about past mega throw downs but I did ask specifically for flyer rules and other house rules to be front and center since there are going to be at least 4 mega-ish battles taking place at roc kon. So again a thousand thanks and you will be rewarded in the afterlife.

Right! Sorry about how this looks --- my fault. I meant that the House Rules and Flyer Rules should be a sticky that is very visible. The MEGA BATTLE posts could be deleted, or condensed into a "fluff and rules" file.
I think the house rules are one of the best accomplishments of this group. We (read:collectively and by consensus) came up with a more balanced Apocalypse game than GW did. Alot of these rules fixed the problems that come up when a table is expanded to 8' wide and 25' long. They aren't needed for "one-off" games, but form a good meter of what we consider fair and decent play when participating in a Mega Battle.
The best way to refine and progress and make them even better is to have them up-front-and-center so everyone can see them.

That's actually in the main rule book.

Yeah but it reads "within Seti's apartment." We could debate all day RAW vs. the RAI. Did they intend to not allow me in the apartment, or is it an unfortunate thing that Americans do while trying to decipher British word usage (some might say, the wrong word usage). Oh yeah! And while I'm in the apartment I count as a scoring unit, which means I must be a troops unit, which means that you can buy six of me before I ever show up.
